Cold Spring, NY

Alison and I went up for an nice overnight getaway to Cold Spring, NY. While the name might infer it would be cool, it was anything but. Temperatures in the 90s with 100% humidity made for an interesting hike up the Washburn trail.
Didn’t make it all the way through, but had a great sauna-esque experience thanks to the weather. Saw some skinks and a friendly little toad. Slept really well when we got back, and devoured a nice meal hours later to build back up to fighting-weight.
Stayed at the Hudson House B&B which I highly recommend… feet from the water, charming rooms, great restaurant and service. As far as the town itself goes, antiques and shops abound. Got a little of this and that, birch beer (the soda-pop kind), and of course pictures.
P.S.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!
