Blogs and journals are interesting enough ideas, but I think there has to be an over-arching purpose. I am trying to come up with one (other than the idea of recounting the boring day-to-day events in my life).

My journal entries have slowed to a trickle. Nothing new to report here.
Well, one new thing: PIE
At a pre-Thanksgiving office meal (where the employees all brought in some food for an in-office party) I brought several pudding pies. Much to my surprise, they were a big hit.
After being hounded (if you call several emails and in-person requests by three people ‘hounding’), I gave in and put my illustrated secret recipe online.
May this offerring of basic pudding skills make the world a better place.
yawn
Bedtime.

Apparently Kim Jong Il has gotten around to seeing ‘Team America: World Police’, because he is toning down his whole worship-me-and-you’d-better-smile-when-you-see-my-picture thing.
yawn I better get moving… showertime.

So far, it’s Turkeys 1, People 0.
Haven’t posted much of anything lately. Cold, dark, and frankly I’ve been busy doing nothing elsewhere. Days blend together and overlap, and depending on the activity time flies by — or crawls at a painfully slow pace.
Today will be a long day. Guaranteed I will sleep well tonight.

Well, it’s that special time when we see all of this country’s great systems and infrastructure flex its might as the huddled masses cast their votes. You wait in more lines than Disneyworld, smell more human odors than on the subway, and in the end – there really isnt any way to confirm your effort was really counted.
God Bless America… whatever that means. I thought “God” wasn’t supposed to have anything to do with it. Is He voting this year?

As usual, this time around it will be the same deal as always: Choose who you dislike least, the lesser of two evils, or any other cliche that expresses the futility of it all. Let the tallying begin…
They should give out numbered receipts with each vote cast… and then a website where you can enter number to confirm your vote was counted. No one wants to be that accurate, I guess.
